In 2013, Yves Beaunesne's Romeo and Juliet inaugurated the main stage at the Théâtre de Liège. Since then, the director has thrilled audiences and enlivened the stage with productions of Intrigue et amour, Le Cid, Ruy Blas, and Tartuffe. It is thus fitting that he celebrated in October 2023 the tenth anniversary of the Théâtre de Liège's beautiful theatre with Racine’s most popular tragedy. A remarkable international artistic team, accompanied by an instrumental quartet, adds flesh, grit, and depth to the affectations and language of this Alexandrine masterpiece from 1667.
